Installation Various Lijnbaan
For the ‘Lijnbaan’ (a big shopping street in Rotterdam), I developed various installations for a couple of large, freestanding glass vitrines located in the middle of the street. Over time, the vitrines were repeatedly transformed with new concepts and narratives.
The installations ranged from a colorful, interactive world where carousels and marble rides were activated by sensors, to rotating photo exhibitions for the city archive and for the Queen. Other scenes included a winter landscape with animals sleeping underground, and The Collective Brain, an installation inviting passersby to submit what they considered their most important thought.
